Gemma van Eck

This is the Arts site of Gemma van Eck. I was born in 1963.

When creating my work, the form of the stone will lead me to the result. More often my work will show a piece of the original stone. My speciality is working with stones which are easy to work with like marl and soapstone.I started my work in 2006, and I have learned by doing and creating my works. My works are leaded by my own imagination.

Each time I create a sculpture, it stimulates me to perfection. The funny thing is, that the structure of the stone will determine whether I can reuse the things I learned.
